Named after a famous nightclub in fin du siècle (end of the century) Paris, this sparkling pastiche includes a riotous succession of dances—polkas, waltzes, quadrilles and, yes, Offenbach’s zesty Can-can—all packaged in Manuel Rosenthal’s brilliant orchestration.
