The NSO is a professional metropolitan symphony orchestra providing classical concerts of high quality, creative innovation, and interesting themes. At each concert, Maestro Rapchak provides insightful, passionate, and humorous commentary from the stage that sets the music in its historial, social, and political perspective. The Northbrook Symphony

in the Community

The NSO is committed to working with community partners to:

  • offer opportunities for talented young artists and student musicians to perform with the orchestra
  • engage with the local community by offering special programs and events for area residents
  • partner with local organizations by providing them opportunities to further their objectives.

NSO partners include: Northbrook/Glenview Youth Services, Northbrook Park District, Northbrook Rotary, New Tradition Chorus of Northbrook, Village of Northbrook, and the Tri-M Chapter at Glenbrook North High School.
